If any of the oil seals were installed incorrectly, a new seal can leak. Also the water pump shaft coupling can get a groove worn on it that can leak with a new seal.

Aug 27, 2014· The crank rear seal in my opinion is not the problem, the real culprit is usually the way the rear main bearing cap seals into the block. It is sealed using a type of sealer that sets in a fine line. This is fine in a normal car but my theory is that the crank case pressure builds up and finds the easiest route.

Mar 11, 2008· With lube on the seal lip and the od of the silky smooth balancer, and a little antisieze on the ID of the balancer. Torque the crank bolt 2 or 3 bops with a good to damgood 1/2" IR gun. You may have lost the garter spring on your first seal, dimpled it or accidentally sliced it.

Oct 14, 2006· I thought it might be a crank seal, but the tranny oil does not change even after 4 hours of riding. Compression test also pulls 125 PSI on both cylinders.
