If any of the oil seals were installed incorrectly, a new seal can leak. Also the water pump shaft coupling can get a groove worn on it that can leak with a new seal.

It is sealed using a type of sealer that sets in a fine line. This is fine in a normal car but my theory is that the crank case pressure builds up and finds the easiest route.
