These were designed specifically to be inexpensive to manufacture, and for export to countries such as the U.S. Mauser-Werke leased the idea, with space to manufacture, from Heym - thus the Mauser Original roll mark.

Mar 15, 2018· Yes, the magna-port takes out a large amount of muzzle rise and depending on the efficiency of the brake should cut recoil by at least 1/2, sometimes more sometimes less depending. It would definitely be manageable by a small woman I'd think. My oldest son was shooting a 375 H&H at about 80 pounds off sticks.

More recently, (in the last 5 yrs) I have bought another .243 Win, a .308, and a .270. I paid $350-$500 for each of them. And I'd buy another 1 or 2 if the opportunity should arise.

Aug 10, 2007· Brithunter. Just thought you might like to know that the Mauser Model 2000 was made from May 1968 until 1974. However it was a not a real Mauser actually being a Hyem SR10. Heym has a good name of their own so quality is not an issue. The Mauser 300 is the same as the 2000 except it has not iron sights.
