To use them on the side hole of boring head I had to turn them upside down because a drill press runs clockwise. Unfortunately I had to weld the bore again because the hole wasn't centered to my liking.

Mar 14, 2005· A 4" deep hole takes a substantial boring bar to bore with. Your drill press may also be lacking power feed. Plus, adjusting the boring head for roughing and finishing cuts gets tiresome after the first two or three holes are bored to size. Get someone with a lathe to help you out, you'll get far superior results.
